On here it has been mentioned before that the public used to respect truck drivers a lot more than recently. Between 4 wheelers being more courteous and just their general perception of us. I certainly don’t like anybody who doesn’t know me looking down upon me or anybody else. To some extent I can understand the public’s perception of us. Between truckers playing with phones, dumping pee bottles and trash somewhere besides a trash can unsafe driving etc. When did we start to lose the good reputation that we had.

One thing that the 4 wheelers really love is being held up in the passing lane

To me it's all in presentation. How you look, your truck looks, the way you handle yourself, and most importantly your driving. Unfortunately I see plenty of reasons for the industry to be disrespected almost every day. I do my absolute best to stay on the good side.

Let's be real. When you fail in life, lose your job and can't find another one because of your enormous weight, missing teeth, lack of skills, or whatever other reason, where do you go?
You go to a Mega truck driving school (because you don't have any money to pay for your own CDL) and become an example of a typical truck driver the general public looks down on.
