I keep losing my signal on my XM. I've had the radio for 2 months and it worked great until last week. Now I keep losing the signal (up to 10 minutes at a time). They've re-sent the signal numerous times, but it hasn't helped. Thinking of switching to Sirius, don't know if that would be any better. Any suggestions?

When you say "lose the signal" and "resent the signal", are you talking about the authorization code, or the physical satellite signal itself?

    What, exactly happens?

If it's the authorization code, it could be the unit is faulty and needs to be repaired/replaced. If it is the satellite signal itself, it could be the unit or, more likely, the antenna/wiring.

Is the antenna lead pinched in the door? Loose connection at the antenna? Watered out connection at the antenna?

If it's an actual signal issue, the antenna lead is the weakest link and I would try replacing that first to see if it solves the issue.

As Sirius and XM have merged into a single entity, switching from one to the other isn't likely to change anything.
