I have an 1991 kenworth T 600 N 14 460 hp the problem is I lose throttle response it goes to idle for 8 to 10 seconds then works fine again seems to be worse in very cold weather-10 C also has been triggered by jake switche but not always. Sometimes you have to shut off key to rectify

If your N14 has Electronic Controls, it could be a worn out Accelerator Pedal or a bad Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor.

That really just sounds like a bad connection in a harness from the ECM to the firewall. Needs a thorough checkup of it every inch. All it takes is ONE corroded pin in one plug to act that way.
The other thing I'd go to first is the TPS (throttle position sensor) wires at the accelerator pedal. I've had a couple of them fail and do that exact thing. The loop from the TPS itself to the end of the plug on the floor can fail, a broken wire, corrosion, etc. Salt from shoes plays havoc on them (if you're in that region where salt is present anyway.)Tanglefoot T 600 Thanks this.
