Decided to do the drive to Albuquerque, leaving at 2:30am. Took 2 and a half hours to drive 80 miles, with the engine offering a bit more power then yesterday. Then with 30 miles to go the "DPF Full, service needed to clean" error went away and the derate ended. Changed to "soot level very high". It reduced again to just "soot level high" right before arriving at my final.
Still have the loss of power that I had before the DPF error, struggle to accelerate after 8th gear despite only having a 10k load. Still have the regen needed light lit up on my dash, but the truck still wont do a parked regen.
Loss of power, misfiring, then dpf full

I'd also pull an oil sample and yank the valve cover. Check to see how dirty your engine is running. I know I've had to fight with some dirty fuel recently, and that can lead to carbon buildup, which in turn leads to more DPF issues. -
The one time I had that same driving issue. It was an older dpf only truck. I took it to Rush. No regen lights. But the turbo wasn't working. I basically coasted along the highway at slower speed. Any type of uphill killed my speed.
Turned out to be the delta sensor. -
Decided I'm not going to put the truck in the shop yet, hoping my luck holds out and the dpf improves by itself while driving. Am going to run a load that delivers Monday and do it then. Between Thanksgiving and the weekend, putting it in a shop now will mean several extra days of downtime.
Going to look up info on the delta sensor as well to see about troubleshooting it myself and maybe replace it myself. -
Problem went away, came back, went away, came back, went away Wednesday and drove all day Thursday without issue.
Came back today and found a kenworth shop that wasn't busy. Pulled the engine codes and it's all fuel pressure related. They are thinking it's just the filters (which were changed 30,000 miles ago). Perhaps I just picked up some bad fuel somewhere.
Going to change them, clear the codes, do a regen, and see what happens. -

It helped but didn't solve the issue completely.
Still get fuel pressure and dpf error codes, but at least parked regen (sorta) works again and not getting the bucking and power loss. Parked regen activates but doesn't heat up enough, dosing nozzle problem. -
It might take a few regens to clear out the DPF.

Although after the shop visit and fuel filter change, they regen'd it for 2 hours, then I drove it to a truck stop 20 miles away, and it regen'd for another 6 hours. But at that time it was giving a "soot level very high" warning.
