The Front Range (the high prairie along the front of the Rockies) has seriously great weather 90% of the time. 300 sunny days a year, low humidity almost all the time. I lived in Fort Collins 1992-97 and again 1999-2003, and I regret leaving.

It has gotten crazy expensive to buy or rent, true. If I was going to go back, I’d probably look at one of the little towns east of I-25, maybe east of Greeley.

a lot has changed since 2003 sadly...mostly not good. Still some good areas, but it is all bleeding outwards from the "greater" Denver area. FoCo is cool if you are within the city limits, but going to and from is PITA, just like Loveland, etc. Place is non-stop BS. It is what you make of it ultimately I suppose!

All fine and dandy. But that's again why I'm looking at a travel trailer. Find a nice RV park near the work place and live out of that while I make my penny. After that, off into the night like a ghost!!

I will say that the only things I'd partake in are those cruiser bicycle rides in Boulder, and the train and plane museums. The underrated, top notch activities for me that usually get overshadowed by breweries, sports, and nature hikes.

Before you buy an RV with plans on living in it, check RV park pricing. You may get a rude shock.

Yeah, I've seen the prices for the area in regards to space prices. But at least I'm not having to wait around for background/credit checks. And waitlists are less of a thing to deal with than an apartment complex.

At this point, the only people pressuring me to move up there are potential employers. The "natives" and people that claim to be them would rather you turn right around and exit stage left immediately.
