What is the diameter of the cylinder on your lowboy, and how much pressure do you plan on running to it from the pump…??
For example… if you have a 8” cylinder with 2500 psi of hydraulic pressure, you will have about 125,000 lbs of push from the cylinder to raise the front of the lowboy.
Now…. pto / pumps for a dump truck run a higher volume than a lowboy needs best of my memory.
But 1st, measure the cylinder…. Is this a ground bearing or non ground bearing lowboy…??

The dump pump (if that’s what you’re talking about from a dump truck) will most likely work unless your trailer needs a really high pressure…my trailer has a table that gives pin load for each 100 psi of pressure. my guess is that would also be available for your trailer. As far as needing a 2 line…which you certainly do, the return if using a dump pump just goes back into a separate port on your tank instead of back to the valve.

I think if we get it home it'll be easier to figure out what we need to do.
It is a ground bearing trailer.
I actually have a regular two line wet system but I have to find it. The dump PTO is sitting on a transmission that I can just grab it.
It's a very very very long story but everything was moved so I have to see if I can find that wet line setup.FerrissWheel, W923 and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this. -
Does anyone know what the specifications are or what the correct pump actually is that is needed to be purchased for the low bed?
FerrissWheel Thanks this. -
I just did this on an XL trailer. I mounted a predator 420 engine from harbor freight on the nose with a hydraulic tank just behind it. It fit really good and I only had about a grand in it. Any pump that is capable of 16gpm and 3000 psi will run a lowboy. Let me see if I can find the number off of the pump and adapter I used it was the only thing I didn’t have to buy.

Our whole fleet uses Honda. The brand new Aspen's come from the factory with them and when we rebuild a trailer they get a brand new one put in. We rebuild roughly every 7 to 10 years so. And most of them make it across the finish line. Every now and then with a minor repair here and there.
I'd have to go take a look at one to figure out what model they are. Right now I'm in the hotel little bit down the ways from the yard.
So there you go take it with a grain of salt.
