I’ve dealt with this one before and I know that half the bridge is fine and one side of it is 12 nine clearance. Anyone remember which side is which?

    Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this.

12’ 9” wouldn’t be over the travel lane. More than likely at the edge of the shoulder..In other words you’d have to be completely running the shoulder for it to be a problem.

Stay in the center 2 lanes, you're good treetop tall. There's two bridges that are low on the shoulder. Run through there at 14'6" all the time.

Flat Earth Trucker and Nahbrown Thank this.

Our Conestoga is exactly 13‘6“ tall so we should be fine.

I know it’s been tough for a lot of people. And I don’t like to brag… Let’s just say it’s unbelievably good.

our biggest challenge is really finding a route through Weather to get to our destinations in the winter. We had a delivery yesterday morning in Port Hadlock Washington. After seeing 65 mile an hour gusts on 40 and a blizzard on 80 and 90 we went all the way up to 94 westbound to avoid the high winds and snow. It worked and we were able to deliver later than we wanted to by about four hours.

Honestly I’m using Weather routing almost as much as when we lived on the sailboat

edit*** we are not allowed to travel if chains are required so bobbing and weaving through weather fronts is necessary as well as looking at forecasts before accepting a load.

You have an advantage over land dwellers, with your sailing experience. It was a charter captain who clued me in to the “Windy” app, which I use all the time. Less so, I do watch some YT videos by Ryan Hall. He’s not always been accurate, but, his content gives me a heads up to potential issues to look out for.

Chiagohas a lot of "mismarked" bridges. I cleared one marked 12' 9" with a 13'6".

Yep windy is one of my best weather apps. Its the reason Im leaving Rawlings at 9 pm tonight when the wind gusts drop into the 20s

Our steel trailer is HEAVY but the tarp system is still a kite.
