Lufkin and Shepherd. Are these clearances okay for 13'6" truck ?

Yes they are. Most bridges for trks have 13"6" clearance. What I mean by most is some clearances for trks are higher then 13"6.

US 59 is a regular truck route from Texarkana to Houston. There's a few truckstops down thru there also.

those bridges are railroad tressels, and when a train is on them, they are NOT 13'6".... you will see the signs telling you to go around.

just came through there last week. ran 59 Texarkana to Houston twice down and back with no issues

Make sure you take the loop around to avoid the lower bridges on the business routes. Meaning follow US 59 signage and avoid business routes.

Same here--I remember the low clearence and bypass signs--but me thinks the rebuilds and ongoing construction thru there has eliminated them anyway

construction isn't complete yet......if i remember correctly think one of them has an overheight detector and signed work around if you set it off. doesn't look like much more work at one of those bridges and the new road will be done

Don't know until you try
