that don’t look like this
I was just looking for other ideas to copy
I don’t have a problem with these but there becoming unusable
Maybe I just need to make new ones out of heavier material or maybe a different design
Just looking for opinions
Lowboy ramps replacement suggestions, these are worn out!

Recomend using at least 3/8 plate on the new ones. If not available just Double up the 1/4 plate. Put in some angle reinforcements on the sides to help stop the stress cracking.
I know that stuff gets heavy but the ramps are always made too weak to begin with.singlescrewshaker, W923, MartinFromBC and 1 other person Thank this. -
this is an approximate design of what we built for our Aspens in the late 90s
same for the 30t, 40t and 60t both deck and cantilever deck.singlescrewshaker, HoundDog7, W923 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Do you need ramps if your not hauling smaller equipment? I’ve had trouble with smaller skid steers on this trailer but never tracked equipment. Granted I’m not hauling multiple pieces per day.
Oxbow, cke and singlescrewshaker Thank this. -
My trailer also has a very thick deck so it about 10 inches high without ramps. I was thinking about adding on to the front of the trailer with a fixed ramp to maybe get down to 4-6 inches and call it good.singlescrewshaker, Ruthless and beastr123 Thank this. -
I have ramps but actually don’t use them much. I have more problems with smaller dozers wrecking the front of the trailer.
I’ve been pulling this same lowboy since 2004 when EZ owned it.
Never had much damage till lately allowing others to load the equipment….

Are the small dozers breaking boards because they run between the frame rails?
Does that trailer belly down or just the picture?cke, singlescrewshaker, MartinFromBC and 2 others Thank this. -
The narrow gauge dozers scar the upper locks. Not so bad if they just crawl on and straighten it after it’s on the deck, but the horse heads will steer it going over the locks and chew them up.
I try to always load my own trailer, just some cowboys with out a clue are trying to load before you get the tractor parked.
I have 2 direct customers that know how to load, others are terrible at times.
Yea when it’s got 50,000+ on like in this pic it looks slightly sow bellied. Don’t have much arch anymore. I’ve had 68,000 on the old girl and she handled it like a champ…..
truckdad, cke, singlescrewshaker and 5 others Thank this.
