My question is how are you dropping the rear of the truck to keep the frame rails level.

I understand post#1 just fine as is evideced by my reply based on experiance. Don't get butt hurt cause you spewed a bunch of truckstop counter BS and I called you on it. People come here to get good info to help make a decision and inevitibly some half wit forum know it all puts bad info out there. Some people who are honestly trying learn may not be able to tell the difference between good and bad info unless those who know better say something. So I answered you with the same tone that you responded to the question with, no hard feelings. Some of the points made are GREAT questions, but you did'nt pose them as a question. You tried to use them to keep others from doing what you consider to be unnecessary as is evidenced by the "forget it" remark. We should take our experience and use it to help others better themselves, their equipment, and the trucking industries public perception. If all you can contribute is why it can't and should'nt be done then keep quiet and let the big boys who know how to get it done talk! You just might learn a thing or two.

Good question? Wonder if they thought about the effects it would have on fifth wheel height?

Just the front end. I have low air leaf though, so its pretty low. I dont think people usually screw with the rear, maybe swap from air leaf to low air leaf. I think most of the low "look" is cosmetic. Low mounted fenders, boxes, tanks, side panels. That is one benefit of the air ride front end put more air in and you gain some ground clearance, an inch goes a long way sometimes!

Everything that you have posted in this thread was dealt with in post #15 when you were presented with the possibility of going to prison for changing the OEM Design. You were not able to give an answer to that, and the reason is, that you know that it is true, the only thing that you could do was deflect the conversation to other issues that weren't even addressed in this thread. A cool looking truck is not worth going to prison for, you are better off to forget it, it is simply not worth it. That is my opinion, just what was asked for in post number one, I am not going to argue this anymore.

Ok ok. Any bolt, nut, rivet, screw you touch on your tractor/trailer you better be responsible for, I think we all know this before we even started modifying our trucks. Even goes for everyone that changes their own oil, belts, brakes, lights, replace air lines etc.

So now that leaves a lot of us in that category that have changed/modified something on our trucks unless your just one of those drivers that only have a speedometer, fuel gauge and a Qualcomm inside the truck and go down the road cruising in the granny lane unless they see a truck about to pass them they'll pop their signal on and jump in front to test your reflex and brakes.

To answer the question, yes I know and am ready for responsibility for every thing I touched on my truck, that's why I do PTI/DVI almost everytime I stop for fuel then when I change my oil I go over nuts and bolts in my steer and suspension just to make sure nothing's loose.

I seen duals passing up the truck they came off or steer wheels and hubs passing up the original truck they came of going down the road. So who's responsible for that? The mechanic that was working on the truck and did satisfactory work or the driver that isint worth a poop and doesn't know better to check oil or hub temps when they stop.

I think the people that start to modifying or do things with their rigs they know a few things and accept those responsibilities. It's those other drivers that worry me that when you tell them it looks like their wheels are gonna fall they either the don't have a cb to hear you, if you pull up next to them to wave them down they think your just waving to say hi, of they reply "well dispatch said it was good to go" or "I just pulled it out of the yards shop and mechanic said its ready to roll".

Everyone just do your own thing thinging with reason and responsibility in mind. This thread never had to become a pissing match or who is more correct then the other person by what they choose to do to their truck.

One more thing, even installing a inverter or any of those 12v lighter accessories in your truck and it starts to smolder or start on fire you better be ready to explain. Nott just answer, well I bought it and plugged it in and let the water boiler boil over on my dash and run down my gauges and electrical components or bake oven sit in my bed on top of my pillow making a pizza and all of a sudden I dunno what happen but I was a fire ball going down the road.

Also lock tight is our friend. Well at least it's my friend.

If you didn't adjust the rear ride height then you may not have changed your driveline angle, but you have changed the pinion angle and could put undo stress on the u joints that way.
