    I idle mine at 900-1000 rpm's. If It's really cold out(double digits below zero) I set the rpm's to around 1100-1200 to keep the engine warm.

    They are all different, the new Cummings say they will start down to 0F. The old cats say you need to idle if under 15F. All the engines have different spec and tolerances of what they are ok with.
