I know ABF has them, but wondering why others dont. Ive gone to many places that have a load that should of been on a flatbed. Thankfully some guys at a lumber yard taught me how to get stuff out from the front of the truck that cannot be moved with a pallet jack or is too big. Places I know usually I will have one of the dock guys move it to the tail and get my pallet jack in.

But going back, Ive been to many places that the guys look at me like how am I getting that out etc. i usually carry extra straps and ropes and tie them to the forklift and have them pull it... But its big long heavy stuff that if I got a spare pallet, I put it under the forklift and they go and grab it from the side.

Well if anyone has any info on why we dont have them in the LTL field (except ABF) feel free to post comments. Hopefully someone from ABF who does flatbed will see this.

If someone did not stick the walls for a 100,000 pound bank valt in a tandem van trailer to store out in the yard it for a week. And warped the chassis of the van, ya got that right, LTL companys do need flat beds.

I wouldn't mind pulling them if someone else strapped and tarped the load.

At century believe me I know, that's when I learnt the tricks I know when I worked for CWF

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. All you really need is one or two trailers just to have in case. I don't mind strapping and tarping it since I would be the driver and am responsible for it
