I've always been a little confused when booking LTL loads with a broker, so I stay away from them. How do you figure pricing?.
I know that this side of the industry pays well when coming from a direct shipper, just trying to figure out how to price this kind of load from a broker.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance..

Everyone does it different like today I dropped three off first was two crates 6ft 8ft wide 13,000lbs needed tarped it went 1,430 miles paid $1,900
next was two pallets with big vales ended up taking 6ft of deck 8,800lbs paid $1,500 went 1,200miles
next was a fab table it was 2,500lbs was 14ft needed tarped 6ft drop 1,250 miles paid $1,700
all picked up in route only one was 80 miles out my way and from the first to last I had 265miles dropping I still had more than half my deck just couldn't find anything else and two needed dropped today ended up 1,720 total miles not my best but was light and easy and only spent two days picking and dropping [IMG]

I call on lots of stuff that pays $.50/mile even see stuff at $.20/mi I don't do LTL every week but when I see a good starter I build off that I base my prices off when it drops weight and how much room it takes a 32ft piece that's 36,000lbs is not a partial also I try and stay away from long loads they always kill what you can haul.
