LTL Truck driving jobs yearly profit!

I'm around 60k a year as local.. i bet some are paying 80k

 

no new driver will make that, after some time in specalized local its possible

 

ya i have 10 years driven class B and 3 years in class A and it is just starting to pay off.. but i did not go to school everything for me was on the job training

 

Thank you for putting it in perspective fellow Vermonter. Yes you can make a good living in trucking...but you also have to put in your time!

Another example would be to spend four years in college earning an English or history or math degree, and then another two years earning a masters degree and teaching certificate, and then getting a job that starts at 40K or so. After 10 or 12 or even 15 years you are at the top of the scale, say 90K. Great benefits and pension. Better than most driving gigs, and better hours too. But you spent a ton of money on those degrees, and you have to put in the time to make it pay off. Worth remembering if you are going out into the world with 3 or 6 weeks of driver training.

 

thank you turnanburn ya i worked my but off getting there was as well. started off in a trash truck working then moving up to roll off also driven school bus as well. then ended up getting a side bay job with Pepsi and working up to the bulk deportment. it was a long road to get to ware I'm at. and the long road has payed off. but your not going to jump right in to a local job that pays anything right off. you are going to need to put your time in. maby i tuck the long way but i had no interest in over the road. our hell maby we just do stuff different up here in Vermont

 

the company I'm with now 2 mos it was a big time upgrade. on the 14th i will also be full time in to the teamsters union. with a nice size raise

 

im company trucks are manual i work mon-fri 4:30am to 4:30pm ish all Halladays off. even get overtime after 32 hrs on a halladay week
