180,000 miles a year? Not to shabby for solo!

    Of course 700 miles a day, 5 days a week, 4 weeks a month, 12 months a year.....

If you are paying for all miles its not so bad. I figured you were splitting the mileage as is industry standard. Maybe that explains why most the replies were in scorn or mocking.

Still gonna have to come up some tho to make up for the lack of benefits, or settle for a lesser quality driver.

I'll drive solo before I put my life and truck in the hands of someone I think is "lesser quality" I'm looking for someone willing to sacrifice for their goals as much as I am. someone who wants to buy their own truck. Most companys don't offer benifits until after 30 days. Idealy after few months of teaming I'd buy second truck for driver and get a second team driver to team with me. I'd even team drive with a driver that only has permit if I can get them on my insurance. Increase in insurance rate will dictate pay.

My friend told me if he drives 2,700 or more a week, he gets 50 cents for all miles.

Ok, I get you now. Your original post didn't make it clear. 30 cents to one driver for team miles seems right in line with pay.
