Well, I finally cut the umbilical cord completely to Windows. After getting an iMac a little over a couple of years ago to replace a Windows desktop, getting an iPhone 4 earlier this year, and now a Macbook Air 13" i7 256GB to replace a Windows notebook, I have no desire to return to Windows.
Got the Air in the morning on Thursday, by noon had it networked, all updates downloaded, printer drivers downloaded and printer online, all software I wanted installed, all files copied over to the notebook, several movies and TV shows ripped, mail accounts setup, apps updated, etc. I have owned dozens of computers since the early days of the Apple II, Commodore Vic 20, Radio Shack Color Computer, etc and this one is the best yet. A little pricey, yes, but it is in a league of its own. The easiest, by far, to get set up and productive. Light as a feather compared to any other Intel i7 based laptop. And when tethered to my new Iomega 1TB portable drive ($130), no problem with any storage concerns or backups. Great screen and not too bad of sound out of it either.
Overall, a great choice for easy toting around. And for the Windows devotees, it will do Windows right along with OS X. Maybe not the best choice for some, but most would find it a real good machine.
