The answer to this has to be in the owners manual somewhere but I've looked thru it multiple times and have yet to find it, nor have I been able to find a setting for it in the set up menu.
There is a pop up notification that will appear when outside temp gets down to a certain point that informs you of temp and possible freezing/icing conditions. I can clear it easy enough but a few minutes later it comes back again.
Can someone please tell me how to disable this #### thing? It's a distracting pain in the ###, and contrary to popular belief, I am smart enough to figure out when the temps are in that range on my own.

It possibly might only be able to be changed through the ECM in the shop.
Suspect Zero Thanks this. -

I was afraid it could be something like that. Thanks guys.

Our Volvo's have the same thing you can hit the escape key on the control stick, but usually it likes to come up and stick around.
Suspect Zero and homeskillet Thank this. -
I'm guessing just about every vehicle has a warning these days.
I drove a 12 and 16 FL that was annoying. My 07w9 I"m in now has the frost light on the temp portion of the dash. 34 seems to be the alarm warning.
I have a 17 chevrolet that also displays the message at anything 34 and under. But at least it goes away.Suspect Zero Thanks this. -
Yes, seems like they all do. The T680 I was in at my last place had it also, but it was not as intrusive as this one is. I can clear it like with @Mike2633 s Volvos, it just irritates me. This thing will literally pop up every 5 minutes when the temp gets down to the trigger point, which seems to be 35 degrees.
Oh well, when it goes in the shop for PM I'll ask if they can/will do something with it.Mike2633 Thanks this. -
My Volvo does the same thing. Mack is owned by Volvo so probably is identical. I don't know of a way to disable it.
Mike2633 and Suspect Zero Thank this. -
I asked the dealer if they could do anything when the FL I was driving was getting serviced.
NOPE was the answer I got.Suspect Zero Thanks this. -
a strategic boogger can be wiped on that, keep building them up on that warning light.
