    The 'ole dog is giving me a fit. It's a 98 CH with a E-7 350.

When I bought it she didn't start for sheet..... starter was dragging. Put 3 new batts and found a broken jumper cable, fixed all that. ( batt to batt ) Seemed a lil better but not what I expected. Starter went out a month later. Put on a NEW 39MT and still not very exciting.

Bought new batt cables and a new solenoid ( on the firewall ). Put solenoid on but didn't have time to do cables. Solenoid changed nothing so I hung one of the new cables beside the old ground and doubled it up.

    Still no change.

Oh, the new batts are 925 CCA each and were load checked. All passed.

Wassup with the dog guys???? Why is it still dragging???

Use jumper cables. Attach the ground from the battery to the starter. If it starts good, your ground cables are bad. Same with the positive. The braided ground strap from the engine to the frame is a common issue as well, even when they look fine. Hooking up the jump cables there as well will tell ya if it's bad.
