Hi there.
Dont see any of these out in the bush where I work, but there are a couple for sale in another area that are rigged for logging.
I know little about trucks as I am still pretty green.
2013 Mack Pinnacle, M8 505 hp, 18 speed, 46 rears, 14 front 170,000 kms $90,000
2012 Kenworth W900, Cummins ISX (600 ?) Deleted, 46 rears, 14 front 450,000 kms , $90,000
Both trucks rigged for hauling logs. Tractors only.
Which would you be inclined to buy and why?
Thanks in advance for your opinions.

You say you don't see many Macks around there. How far is it to a dealership if you need parts/work vs Kenworth?
-
What will you use the truck for?
How heavy?
Are you starting to see that you need to put up a lot more info ? -
hauling logs- gw up to 70,000 kgs
nearest dealer for either truck is about 2 hours away -
Have you seen the maintenance history off either one off those trucks?
Are you a logger who will haul his own logs?
Or are you starting out in trucking?(as a O/O?)
Are you being paid by the KG you haul?
Or is it a fixed rate per trip?
Will you have work all year round?
Can either off those trucks haul other trailers?
How much do they weight empty?
How much capital you have to spend?

We have 15 Macks and 56 Kenworths, want to buy the Macks??? Mack doesn't have a single mechanic that can deal with their Regen system. Had one in Grande Prairie for 8 days, finally sent a lowbed and hauled it home.

Well there's a handy tidbit of info.

Indeed! And why is that? Lol to roflmao

I've heard that multiple times about the nightmare at Mack dealers from emissions problems and poorly trained techs.
Interestingly, at volvo dealers the techs are pretty good on emissions diagnostics and repair. I wonder if they'd work on a red D13, LOL !! -
The only way anyone should trust a Mack is if a Mechanic left Volovoland and came to work in Canada. (In your own shop preferred)
