That little green book knows that there are garbage cans out here, the reason why nothing is found about how to handle mistakes, just sayin'.....

simple re-write get rid of it. if its there they can look at it, depending on what the error was and how it correspond with your new one you don't want to give the dot any reason to think your falsifying your logs.

Yep been there done that, many many times. Another old school, back in the day some states had a bigger fine for not having your book current than not having A logbog at all. So If your log book wasnt current or whatever in some states it was cheaper to toss the book into the sleeper and tell DOT you left it at last truckstop.

Many times I have said what log book when asked. I guess things are different know like it or not. I still suck at the paperwork though.

I always ripped out pages neatly, and never had a problem, but my logs have only been looked at a few times. I guess it's my professional, alert, knowledgeable look as I roll through the scales that kept me from getting too much scrunity. LOL

PS...I did the old left the log book at the last truck stop once in northern Az. Cost me $100.00. I was a couple days behind. I asked what would have been the fine if I was waaaay behind. The answer, $50.00. Different places, different fines. I have found it better way back when to have almost everything wrong. That way they are so confused as what to write up, and how much time they will spend in court with a book full of tickets, they usually charge a small fine and say don't come back.
