Every market is different in Wisconsin where I’m from $2.50-$3 a mile for runs is normal. Here in Texas I live right now 1.75-$2.33 in the going rate. So because you have to know your operating cost it’s more lucrative for me to do short runs. Why will I beat up my equipment for other companies gain.

 

You are right great for me to make $900 on 200 miles. Mad are the people that don’t see the positive in a ####ty situation. I’m not mad at all. Plus if we share this info more Brokers/shippers will start paying up

 

yes sir.. you are right. In Texas there is enough volume where I don’t book no loads until the day of. Only load I book is to get rolling away from the house. After that I’m getting $2.33 a mile minimum waiting to book last minute.
