thats easy just dont click on it. i see post all the time that im not interested in,i just skip over it. calex for one,i have no interest in that post. but guess thats the joy of having an opinion. i think its cool reading each of these guys stories without running them all together. maybe ever ACT guy will start his own that just my .02 cents -
Does the orientation consist of lease ops and company drivers? They do not allow pets for.company drivers correct?
-
heard these guys say both are in orientation but i dont know bout the pets. -
For someone new wouldn't it be better to purchase a. 30k dollar truck then make some money on it before going bigger. I just think for a $100k truck should be brand new.

Sorry for the delay in updating my thread, but let me try to catch everyone up. Things have been very slow at ACT, as I am sure that they have been slow everywhere else. I went home the week of Christmas and took myself four days off, it was a great Christmas and seeing the joy on my kids face was the best part of being home. Because of the holiday I only got a little over 1500 miles, but after all was said and done, my truck payment and all other expenses were made and I still got a $500 check.
I went back out on the 27th and my plan was to try and run straight thru New Years, but as we all know, things don't work out as we would like all of the time. I sat in Junction City, KS from Friday morning until Monday morning, so I only ended the week with a little over 1300 miles. After all expenses I still was in the black, but only got a $200 check. It's tough trying to survive on $700 to last you for two weeks when you have bills and a family, but luckily my wife is a nurse and we have her income and benefits so we were able to get by.
This week has been a little better, when I deliver my load tomorrow and turn in my bills, I will have 2724 miles for the week. After everything is said and done, I should be able to clear around $1300 to $1400. I hope that the miles stay, but I know that this time of year can be very tough to count on.
I just wanted to let people know that I have not vanished, and I also don't want people thinking that I am sugar coating anything with my posts. There are bound to be tough times, as there are in any business, but it is how we handle those tough times that will be the true test to figure out if you have what it takes to make it.jlkklj777 Thanks this. -
