    Sole-Propietor as a one man operation is the easiest and makes the most financial sense. Unless your net income exceeds $65k anually.

    sole prop are responsible for all of there companies debt. therefore you can lose everything you own house car etc. However members with a LLC are liable only to the extent of there investment to the business. Got this info online from SOLE PROPRIETOR VS LLC

    Let us know how that works out in a real courtroom... I used to be incorporated but since I was the sole stockholder I had to personally guarantee all my loans and my name was on the insurance policy, too.

    Tuff to say you aren't liable when you name is on everything....

    Most states have homestead laws, which means you cannot loose your primary residence in the event you are sued and loose. It is true everything else is fair game. A LLC will not protect a sole proprietor in the event of a law suite. Why? Because in said law suite the owner may be protected by the corporate vail, but the driver is not. Since driver and owner are one in the same there is no protection.
