Most states have homestead laws, which means you cannot loose your primary residence in the event you are sued and loose. It is true everything else is fair game. A LLC will not protect a sole proprietor in the event of a law suite. Why? Because in said law suite the owner may be protected by the corporate vail, but the driver is not.
