    Hey Runningman!
I know this is old news by now but what happened to your gig at Schneider Intermodal?
It seemed that you were pretty happy there and I always enjoyed reading your thread.

They over hired for the position right before Xmas and we went from working 5 days a week to 4. I was having to dig into my savings to pay the bills, so I had to make a move. I have one daughter getting married in July, and another graduating high school in June. Neither will be cheap, so I had to comeback out OTR, and Magnum was on my short list if I ever had to go back on the road.

    O I see..
Well I hope things are better for you now; you've always had an insightful and positive style in your reports that I have always appreciated.
Congrats on both the upcoming marriage and the graduation!

Here's a question for current Magnum drivers, with so many companies going to automated manual transmissions now, is this something Magnum has considered? Personally I am glad they still have 10 spds, but the trend seems to be slowly changing, your thoughts?

Paul told me out of the 60 new trucks coming that I believe 10 or maybe 20 will be automatics, forgot exactly what he said. He also told me those will be assigned to the drivers that are having a difficult time keeping there mpgs within the company guidelines. I also know they have some autos already in the fleet but I have no idea how many. I'm sure someone better qualified to answer that can help

    Winnyf1 Thanks this.

my boss thought the same thing and bought some cascadias with the mercedes 12 speed auto shift
the same drivers getting bad fuel mileage in the 13 speeds get bad mileage in the auto
but the best drivers have increased even their performance and wouldn't want the 13 speed back
