I don’t know what you mean by being valued?
I’ve been here 4 years and have never been late getting home.
I’m left alone, which is what I like.
The only time I speak to Fargo is when I’m heading to the ND/MN Area to see what loads are available to chose from.
Pretty much run where I want
treated as an adult
99% of the time I know at least 1 day ahead time where my next load is.

If you shut down because of weather just let them know and the will reschedule it and not a word will be said about.

 

A quick explanation of my situation:

I attended a University for a year and flunked out (many years ago. Lesson learned), so I can't enroll at Alexandria Tech until I get my transcripts released from the University. I have about a $7000 balance with them still, so next Wednesday I'm gonna go to the bank to try for a personal loan to pay off my University balance and get my transcripts. After that, I can start at Alexandria Technical College in August, and hopefully be training by January!

I talked to Tony today and he said I have a job waiting for me when I graduate.

I am so excited to start this new adventure I can't even describe it.

An update: Turns out Magnum has a Driver Apprentice program based out of their Coon Rapids terminal, so instead of paying for trucking school, I'm gonna be getting paid to get my CDL, then have a 1 year contract with Magnum at the normal introductory pay. Put in my application today, waiting for Doug to get back from vacation so I can get the details set up.

I'm so excited!!

 

What is the intro pay rate?

 

$14/hour during the initial CDL acquisition, then the normal Magnum starting pay for OTR training, then .40 CPM without all the incentives!

Apparently I'll get an extra CPM for having gone through Magnums CDL training.

I'm super excited because I would have gone 4 weeks with no income, not to mention the $4950 it would cost me if I had gone through a truck driving school. Now there will be no wage gap.
