Sitting here in Portage, Wi. at the Petro. I picked up at Campbell's soup this morning and I'm dropping that at our yard in Minnesota tomorrow and picking a preloaded trailer that's sitting on the yard and will deliver it Tuesday morning just out side of Detroit rock city. That will finish this pay period off with 7106 miles for the last two weeks. I am very pleased with the miles thus far, and the steady freight. If I'm going to be out here away from my family I want to be rolling and making money, not sitting around waiting on my next dispatch or sitting all weekend in a truck stop. Be safe and enjoy your weekend.

    ncmickey Thanks this.

I'll be rolling all weekend too. You will get your weekends sitting still... But at least it ain't every weekend. I'm the same way...if Im out here, the wheels should be rolling....
I'll be rolling 5 1/2 hrs to the yard in Coon Rapids tomorrow... Then pick up Monday headed to Perth Amboy NJ...then home for a spell in NC,..... Yahoo!!

It's nice to see a positive comments about a company. What made you choose reefer? How often do you find yourself restacking pallets or touching the load in general? Keep up the good flow of info.

I believe there is only one customer that you have to lay a pallet down so the forklift operator can put a slipped sheet product on the pallet. Other then that I don't think we touch any freight. We get paid to drive not lump freight.

I have never touched a pallet yet. I slid 6 boxes about 6 feet to the doors and a guy took them off and put on a hand truck... But those were French Fries samples going somewhere in Dallas with no dock. The other 43,000 lbs went somewhere else. That is the extent of all the freight I've touched in 8 months....
they say 99% no touch... So like Runningman said... There may be a place you swing a pallet... But they are VERY few and far between

Call and ask Paul or Emily. I don't want to give wrong info. I know they do take a deposit... And they will take it out over several paychecks... But I can't remember the amount.....and don't know any breed restrictions

Sitting here at Meijer in Newport, Michigan. FYI for anyone else that ever comes here, they have a staging here if you get in here the night before. After I leave here I'm bouncing back over to Napoleon, Ohio for a load going back to Minnesota. I will drop that in our yard and get a load heading towards the house. Be safe!

I know I posted awhile back on a different Magnum thread about the hometime policy. I've looked at their website and what I've seen is they have drop lots/mini terminals all over MN. I'm about 2 hours from Rochester do you guys think they'd be a little more flexible with longer time off occasionally if a driver would leave the truck at the yard? I don't want to only get 3 days off after being out 3 weeks. I also seen they do have dry vans as well but it looks like they may be more for shuttle runs for some type between terminals but I'm not sure on that. This is a company that seems to keep you guys moving when you're out which is what I'd want too. That and if you're running I90/94 by Madison you're a little over 2 hours away so I know you roll fairly close by my area. I think I've only seen a couple Magnum trucks come through here though on US 18/35.
Thanks for any info you have.
