In the OTR world your state of residence doesn’t mean much. OTR companies hire from nearly everywhere.

 

True. But as an example. FFE in lancaster TX requires TX DL.

So I want to be sure what Magnum needs.

Ok. Regular DL is FL. But no CDL, yet.

 

Florida is tough depending on the part of the state you need to get to. Though we do have some stuff in the Orlando area.

I set up residency in sd. Only takes a 1 night hotel stay and maybe an hour at the dmv. I also use a company called Dakota post to manage my mail there. South Dakota is tax friendly like Florida as well.

 

Oh I'm not staying in FL. So no issues. I'll take home time places near my delivery to see the country.

 

Just got an email from Luke. Says DAP is in Coon Rapids, MN. For those who went through it. Is that correct?

 

Is DAP where they train you to get your CDL?
If so yes that’s correct.
