Delivered in Joliet this morning, bounced over to Aurora, and was loaded 30 minutes later. That load delivers tomorrow in Winston Salem, and then I reload at the same place going back to Leland, Illinois for Monday morning. Hopefully Monday I can get out of this Carolina to Illinois Vortex I'm stuck in.

Im enjoying a nice steak and shrimp dinner at the A-A truck stop in Jackson, Ohio. Be safe!

Reload in Baytown, Tx to Elgin, Illinois.... 1100+ miles with a Monday am delivery

sitting 25 miles away from my delivery tomorrow 830.... Beautiful day...

 

Got to my delivery right on time this morning... actually about 15 minutes early. Kroger DC in Houston. After a ridiculously tight back, which I nailed!!, I had to wait on the lumpers... got an hr of detention out of it. Used the time to trip plan my next load. I get a call saying to shipper is going to close early for the holiday. 12 noon...I got finished up at 11:15.... then drove as fast as safely possible to my reload. I pulled in at 11:58. I was worried I wouldnt make it and be stuck for the weekend in Houston.
The guy had me loaded in 6 minutes. NO JOKE. My whole load is 3 totes of some liquid. NON hazmat but I needed tanker endorsement.
7800 lbs.... I skipped weighing it...lol.... its like driving empty....
Headed to Elgin Illinois......

 

That will help the old fuel economy, happy easter.

 

Sitting here at the Petro in Monee, Illinois doing some laundry and some house cleaning on the truck. Since I started with Magnum, this is my first day that I have had to sit somewhere and not be rolling. I picked up Friday evening in Winston Salem, NC and I deliver Monday morning in Lemont, Illinois. I ran hard yesterday to get up here and squeeze in a 34 hr restart. ncmickey is on his way up here, we will hang out this afternoon and he delivers in Elgin, Illinois tomorrow. I hope everyone has a great Easter Sunday and be safe.

 

And I'm on my way to Fargo for orientation and I'm looking forward to joining the team!

Made it to the Petro with runningman1661... Got a parking spot right next to him. We are gonna grab a bite to eat in a bit. Nice having someone to shoot the breeze and get a meal with on Easter Sunday.
Figured I would grab a shower beforehand.... one thing Ive learned as a OTR driver, always get a shower when the opportunity presents itself.... cause ya never know when the next one will be...lol
