Well yesterday I had one of those days we all have in the Wonderful world of trucking every once in awhile. I got unloaded in Lemont, Illinois yesterday about 0930, but my reload wasn't schrduled for 1600. So I eased back over the the I55 greater Chicago truck stop to kill a few hours, about 1330 I headed over Des Plaines for my reload. They put me in a door about 1400, but I wasn't loaded until 2015, so my hours were shot. So I found a place to park and was up and rolling at 0200 this morning, I had to be in Morehead, Mn. (Basically Fargo) by 1500. I arrived at 1415 and was empty 1500. I went over to our yard, dropped my empty and headed to Wal Mart to restock my fridge.

I hooked to an empty dry box, and tomorrow I will load at Case just down the street going to Racine, Wi. I will reload at the same place Thursday morning coming right back to Fargo. I'm tentatively scheduled to reload in ND Friday going to NC for a Monday delivery. Be safe.

Will those be live load/unloads or drop and hooks? What's bad about them?

No, it's a drop n hook. Your taking product and then returning w/ empty racks or grabbing some axles at a coatings shop nearby (backing into that dock is a chore). I didn't like 'em because the run requires a 12 hr shift both ways - and running Wisconsin is oh soooo boring.

Lol, I know that's right but it's always nice having a few daylight deliveries mixed in.

I feel your pain RM. One thing I haven't mastered and never will is sleeping on demand. Just because I'm sitting around all day doesn't mean I can go back to sleep after just waking up that morning. Once I'm up im up. I do what needs to be done but it ain't easy getting a couple of hours sleep then turn 11 behind the wheel to make delivery. Well done bro.

Looks like some nice miles ahead, gotta like that. The more I read and learn about this company the better it sounds. Cheers to Magnum for standing above the crowd and cheers to Janet for starting this thread.

Sitting bout an hour from my delivery outside of Detroit.
Delivered my load in Fargo yesterday morning. Went to the yard, replenished my fluids jugs (oil, coolant, windshield washer and 5 wheel greese) did some paperwork, met Winnyf1, who was in orientation. Then got my load, got it weighted and took off for Detroit. Made it to Black River Falls, Wi. Only had 2 minutes left on the clock...lol... again. 2 days in a row. Lol
Got up and made it here before I was out of hrs again. I'll get up at 1am and finish up when I get some hrs back on recap..
Then I reload down in Napolean Ohio at Campbell Soup with a load back up to the Twin Cities.....

Dropped my Racine, Wi. load in the Fargo yard, and picked up a loaded trailer to deliver in Grand Forks. I will reload out of Grand forks in the morning going to Maxton, NC.

You don't seem to go to NJ, Texas or Colorado that much, is that by choice or just the way the loads are falling for the last month or so?

just the way the loads have fallen recently, I would love to go to all of the above mentioned. In the end miles are miles, as long as I'm rolling and being productive I'm happy. I might be able to squeeze in a dinner out with the wife and daughter Monday night. I called the customer and tried to get loaded today, but no luck. Nothing ventured nothing gained. I sent the regional dispatcher a message this morning asking if I could get paid a layover since I don't get loaded tomorrow, he agreed and added $75 to my trip. My philosophy has always been.....you won't get it if you don't ask, the worse he could say is no.
