Magnum ltd - fargo, nd

I got in to Coon Rapids this morning at 6am. Dropped my Campbell soup load in the yard for a local guy to deliver. I have a load offer that I can fit a 34 reset in and pick up late tomorrow afternoon at Jennie O. It has 2 drops in eastern Indiana on Monday.
I picked up that Napolean Ohio campbell soup load yesterday am after getting unloaded in Detrooit at 3am.
I ran out of hrs at 1400 in Rochelle, Illinois. I got some much needed shut eye knowing at midnight I would get back enough hrs on recap to make Coon Rapids.
Slept right through the tornado.
Then drove right through a snow storm...around Eau Claire, Wi...
LOL!!!

Made it safe and sound!!
Gonna get a shower, bobtail to Walmart. Maybe a movie.... dinner af the Outback maybe??
Wish the Twins were in town....

 

Glad to hear everything worked out, I used to live in that part of IL and it looked like they got hit pretty hard. Still waiting for the trainer to get here, should finally be on the truck tomorrow.

 

Just so other drivers know....
The mall is just a mile away from the Terminal in Coon Rapids. You can bobtail over there, park and take the bus into downtown Minneapolis. I caught a Twins game last year doing it. Way cheaper than a taxi...just a couple bucks...
Just call Mall Security and let them know your gonna park there. The transit station has buses going all over...so you can catch a Minnesota Fire hockey game in St Paul or Minnesota Timberwolfs.... or some festival or event....
Get out of that truck when ya can!!

 

Yeah that storm last night was awesome right? That slushy snow broke 2 airlines under my cab with how much it was flying around.

 

Glad to know you're ok R'man, I saw a video go by on FB of that tornado and it looked like they were standing in the truckstop shooting it!

Start school 4/26 grad 5/22 , thanks for all the info from this thread, have applied to Maverick but have to wait till I start school before they will start process, will Magnum start when u apply ? Any opinions on Maverick versus Magnum ....all opinions welcome . And does Magnum hire from Texas , live in D/FW area , Denton Tx specifically

 

prehires before you graduate really mean nothing
almost any co is going to tell you we will hire you if you get your license
Maverick is a good company too
great flatbed training
all autos which limits you sometimes for other companies later on


and how did you get to 2 years trucking and not in school

 

Drove for TMC back in 02,03 had good job offer back , home ... lasted till this past Dec. laid offf... want to try reefer this time ... .ugh kids grown up and gone wanted to get back in but let me CDL go back in 03 ...... so starting over l i guess i should change that to newbie LOL

 

Magnum does hire out of Texas. We go there alot.
