Got up at 0200, was at the customer at 0245, and was empty and rolling out of the gate by 0330. My next load was a drop and hook at Campbell's in Napoleon, Ohio going to the twin cities, for an 1800 appt. on Friday. I shot Brian a message first thing this morning giving my eta and asking if I could drop at the Coon Rapids yard and keep rolling. He told me to drop it at the yard and reload in Gaylord, Mn. With two stops in Pa. for Monday morning. That will work out perfect with my available hours, I'm recapping, and only get 4 hours back Saturday, but then solid hours everyday after that until I go home next weekend.

I made it here to the Petro in Portage, Wi., I will get up early in the a.m., get the truck washed, stop at Wal mart in Black River Falls, and hopefully be in Coon Rapids between 0830 and 0900. I'm exhausted, so gonna catch a nap. Be safe.

I made in down to Kentucky yesterday afternoon. Took a ten hr break just in time to make my 0100 appointment this morning in Hebron KY. I had 2 more drops in Louisville KY. Once I was empty I deadheaded up to where I am now. Im in Beaverdam, OH close to a Hazmat load I'm picking up at 0700. I'll drop it in Coon Rapids MN and grab another load to NC....

I live in southern IN I work for USX and I'm making about 1200 a week great benefits on the Dollar Tree account out of Joliet IL. Home weekends. Can your company beat that?

Well. First off, it's not my company. I'm just a driver. I don't own it, I don't recruit, I just drive and talk about my experiences here.
can Magnum 'beat' the job you have?? Not as an over the road driver. You could match or come close on the salary, if you run hard. But you won't be every home weekend. We don't touch the freight either. Kinda comparing Macintosh apples and Granny Smith apples... Both trucking jobs, but different...
Not every job is for everyone. Glad you like yours...

Dropped my load in the yard this morning in Coon Rapids. Getting my 60,000 mile PM done on the truck and then I'm headed out to Gaylord, MN to get a loaded trailer and head to NC for a 5 stop load. Then home for a few days....!

Really enjoyed this thread. Runningman, I remember you from the Abilene thread with Scooterdawg. Are you all required to chain? Wish you went to Florida more, but everything sounds terrific. Thanks!

No chaining, we go into Colorado, but not West of Denver. Are you still at Trans am?

Yes I am. Coming up on a year there next month. Been a good experience there as a company driver. They have let me learn to drive the truck, made a few mistakes along the way (fender scrapers-trailer dingers not watching mirrors) but by the end f summer, I may be looking elsewhere to move up the ladder so to speak.

Picked up my pre loaded trailer in Gaylord, Mn. and made it to the Wisconsin/Minnesota line. Got up this morning and had a goal of Gary, Indiana with the hours available. I made it to the T/A in Porter, Indiana. I should have just enough hours tomorrow to make it about 17 miles from my first stop in Greensburg, Pa.
