Been running the night shift with Jennie O loads, 5 drops down around Texas finally get back on human time. Jenni O pays $.15 per case if you unload. Only had 18 cases on 2 pallets. Took longer to back in.

Long johns are for southerners, a sweat shirt and sweatpants under regular pants are warmer than any long johns could ever be.
Starter fluid and a lighter will thaw out any lock,

Glad handle lock for reserving a trailer

Liquid wrench for locks (after I had to cut mine but I carry bolt cutters)

    Ordy19 Thanks this.

I don't think it's warmer and to big and bulky under a pair of jeans. I'm not a sweat pants driving kind of driver.

If you're tracking snow into your cab, mean green super strength will make it shine but not slick. Just cleaned mine. 30 mins & it looks brand new. Vacuum up dirt & spray and wipe off with a towel. I believe Walmart sells it cheap.

Do not, I repeat, do not do that!

In the past, we've had jack*ss owner-ops go put kingpin locks on all the good new trailers so they don't have to take a old one with a Carrier unit. You just wait till Nick tells you to pre-load three trailers at Park Rapids and two of them are "reserved". Will really piss you off. Had to go have the dang things cut off and waste half a day doing so. Owner-op got a butt chewing because he made four loads late.

For any of you out there "reserving" a trailer with a kingpin lock or by sealing it, you will be found out at some point. Those trailers are there to make money now, not to be saved for later. Somebody just might need that trailer more than you do.

Also with the locks... I sprayed them in a zip local bag & let them soak in liquid wrench. Then I put 1 on my load locks & cover it with a sliding ziploc freezer bag to prevent debris from getting in there. Looks weird but works. Unzip bag & unlock/ lock & zip. Only the very top of the lock is exposed because the bag won't completely close because of the lock. Beats buying new locks or having your load locks walk off.

I've only reserved a trailer once with a glad hand lock. Nick gave me the trailer & I just went to walmart to restock. Otherwise I look for the trailer they give me & take it or find an Mt & call for approval to take it.

Well if I'm in CR for a day and drop my trailer on the line a park by the lounge I expect to hook up to the same one the next morning. If someone snags it because it "looks good" or doesn't have a Carrier then they are the POS.
