Came out of the house after a week of hometime on Monday Afternoon. Picked up in Winston Salem, NC and delivered in Columbus Ohio Tuesday night. Picked up in Columbus Ohio on Wednesday and brought that load up to Coon Rapids for a local guy to deliver. Pulled into the yard on Thursday at 1230... I was supposed to have a trailer waiting on me in Coon Rapids but there was a delay getting it there. So I took my 10 hr break and got up at 0030 and boogied with that trailer up to Fargo this morning... Dropped that trailer for a local guy to deliver and grabbed an empty and went up to Grand Forks and got loaded at Simplot. Got there at 0645...headed to Tuttle Ok for a Sunday delivery. Then I'll deadhead over to Van Buren Ar. and get a load Monday headed up to Sturtevant Wi for a Wednesday 0400 delivery...

Shut down in Sioux Falls, SD
625 miles today with a drop and hook and a live load...20 minutes left on the 11 and 14....

So I was finally able to deliver my 2200 mile WA produce load this morning in Terrell at the Walmart DC there ending what was an enjoyable and eventful trip. I really recommend the trip out west in the winter, yes there are often weather caused delays, but the scenery is beautiful and its a nice change from our normal runs.

If you are focused on your MPG the run out west was heavy both ways, and just picking up my load in WA resulted in me climbing over 4100 feet 4 times! I really took a hit on my fuel economy so for some it might not be worth it even with the miles which ended up totaling 3500 for both legs with a 870 mile trip to get me into position.

Walmart taking 4 hours unloading me resulting in a missed appointment that I will now have to make up tomorrow ended the trip on a sour note for me, I'll most likely miss the Superbowl, but hey that's trucking. I also needed a PM (the shop messed up on the info to TA resulting in another delay) and replaced a tire on the trailer so like I said it was an eventful trip.

Need to head home next weekend but I'll be looking for another trip out that way when I get back on the road, I liked the challenge of dealing with the ice and snow and it definitely was nice to see places I spent my younger years visiting so all in all it was a good trip.

Picking up in Forth Worth tomorrow morning and heading for a two stopper in NC and VA, then they'll likely start routing me towards home!

    Cheers

At the Double A in Jackson OH. Bed time. Going to try to get on the road around 0100. Looks like I'll he able to watch the game tomorrow. There are a few places within walking distance of where I'm stopping.

Get to Napoleon to pick up. I'm told that load eft 29 January. Gave the girl the number maybe 5 times same thing then got kicked out. I was polite. Miraculously at shift change my same pick up numbers work. Only took 5 hours. Load is going to Bismarck meeting another driver in Fargo that is going to deliver. Hope I can make it hours will be tight plus a blizzard warning for tomorrow there.
