It worked out for me. My license expires in May so I went ahead and got fingerprinted.

I had to get a replacement last year, FL doesn't issue temp cards, but it was mailed and delivered within a week. Certain states allow you to go thru the social security website(the one that is set up to check your retirement and personal info, MYcard or MYsecurity or MYsomething)to request a new card, some states don't allow it. I mean, Social Security is a federal entity, I am not sure why what state you live in matters, but it does.

When I went to SS in NC, they don't really give you a temp card... But a printout on SS letterhead with your SS number and name and conformation a card is being mailed. They said it could be used as a temp card. My new card also arrived within a week. It's weird every State is different...
I am almost positive HR at Magnum made a copy of the card though...

Winny might know more precisely but fully loaded I get it somewhere between 65 and 70psi. 35-40k on 65. Never been too far off.

On your 7" display, hit Peterbuilt, then Gauges, then Screen 2 to see the load pressure gauge. If over 70 you are almost certainly heavy on the drives, slide tandems forward. It's just a quick tool for estimating, doesn't tell the exact weights (will never tell the tandem weight, obviously), but might save you the hassle of a reweigh. btw, if you ever hit 34,000 exactly on the drives, or fairly close, be sure to note the pressure to calibrate your particular gauge.

I have picked up loads that were off by over 10,000 on the shipping papers, so when in doubt, always scale the load. Magnum pays scale tickets, not overweight fines. $10.50 is dang cheap insurance, especially when it ain't even my money.

Tried to get them to install the gauges that read both drives and tandems, but they didn't want to rewire all the trailers. You'd be surprised at how much it actually costs to weigh a load, when you consider wasted time, fuel, etc. Maybe someday.

Not every load needs to be scaled, and some places have a scale on site. All part of cost bidding the loads, same as a washout requirement, for instance. Fuel they can estimate pretty close based on mileage. They do check up on you every once in a while to see if you're running out of route too much or idling.

Not necessarily you mixing it up. Think of the poor accountant who has to keep all that paper straight. And yes, basic organization skills are hard. When stuff gets misfiled or misplaced, it's a real ###### to find it again.

Yes, there should be 24 hour phone support. But we don't have that, now do we? Maybe you could volunteer to be the one to stay up all night and take those calls.

And you are correct, I ain't your boss. But I tell you what, the trailers say "Magnum" on the side, not "Ordy19". Dispatch catches you sealing empty trailers or hanging a kingpin lock or glad hand lock on one just to reserve it, you'll be having a new boss.

Ordy, if I was as big a dink as you seem to think I am, the message would have gone out on Peoplenet from on high about a month ago when that particular issue first came up to knock it off. Not my job to be the company snitch, was hoping everybody here would get with the program and be team players.

Btw guys, dispatchers can read. Doesn't take a genius to figure out who's in what truck and posted what, especially since some of you were so kind as to put your locations in your profile or nickname. This is a open forum, so watch what you say and about whom. Some of you have posted some very intemperate things that I would not want to have my boss reading back to me someday. Would be a rather awkward meeting, methinks.
