Magnum ltd - fargo, nd

May I make a statement on this topic?

If Magnum management is so potentially intimidating that one would hesitate to speak about them and/or the goings on within the company(as long as it is the truth) in a public forum, why would anyone want to work for them for such a low wage? A common theme that is posted on this thread is the lack of micromanagement there, and the freedoms that drivers have, but if you are intimidated by the possibility of management finding out what you are saying, how is that freedom? The Chinese and the former Soviet Union enjoyed that type of freedom. I think they refer to it as Communism.

Pardon the interruption, but I was considering Magnum until the recent discussion about mileage appeared in this thread. In one post, I read that Magnum has 200 drivers and (maybe) 10 of those drivers post here. If that is true, and all 10 of the drivers who post here are having problems with miles, should I re-think my decision?

From the previous 227 pages, I have a read a balanced report about Magnum and its miles. Now? Well, not so much. Is this just a phase that's hitting all companies?

Freight is slow for everyone right now, but I don't work for magnum so I honestly cannot comment on them specifically.

 

I only see a few people complaining. My miles have gotten consistently better since I started and I'd recommend sticking with it but I'm not living paycheck to paycheck so a slow week doesn't send me into panic mode.

 

Can anyone give me Magnum's "EIN" from their W-2? I'm trying to file my taxes online, but I left my W-2 at home.

 

Its reefer, It's Feb, It's slow, It always is. Miles always drop after the holidays and pick up at the end of this month. It isn't a problem at Magnum, it's timing. You plan around this time of year knowing this happens.

I haven't been here but a couple weeks, but I'm not having a problem with mileage. I am single and not living paycheck to paycheck either so that helps also.
I came from the oilfield so its definitely gonna be a pay difference but my mileage is exactly what I was told it would be
