Got my load from Gaylord, Mn and hightailed it to Maryland. First stop was in Upper Marlboro Md at 20:00 last night . I got there with less than an hr left on the clock at 13:30. Snuck a 10 hr break in.(onsite parki g is a blessing!!).....I needed to wait till 0100 Friday eastern time to get more hrs back on recap though... Got 5:50 back and took off for my 03:00 appointment in Williamsburg Md. It was 1hr and 45 minutes away. Got there at 0250...just made it! After unload I found a hideyhole to get a few hrs sleep.
Got up at 0800 and headed back towards Baltimore for a broker load up to Shawano, Wi. Open ended delivery for Monday morning.
Got to the reciever at 1000. By the time I was ready, I had 1:30 left to drive... So I came over to the TA near downtown Baltimore... I get back good hrs for a couple days so I should have no problems.... One of the biggest learning curves and challenges for every load is figuring out TIME...Not just how long to get there... but best ways to use your availible hrs, when to take breaks so they work best with time and future hrs. You have to think forward, backwards and sideways all the time. Driving is the easiest part of the job..most days...
then.....things like this happens....
Had to back up a city street this afternoon cause I couldnt make a turn. A illegally parked car made it impossible. Quite stressful...but I got it done safe and without hitting anything.... I had to take the turn further up so I just used all 3 lanes and no parked car at that block made it much easier. Some days you earn that money.... other days Im amazed they actually pay me to do this!!!

Made it down to the T/A in Mocksville, NC, I was shooting for Haw river, but was going to be about 30 minutes shy so I detoured here to squeeze in a 34. I like the location of this truck stop because there is a Wal mart literally a stones throw away, along with a Mexican restaurant and Chinese buffet in the strip mall.
I will leave here about 0430 and head to Zebulon for my delivery, after getting empty I reload in Warsaw, Nc. going to Plymouth, Mi..
