Nick is especially good hooking you up on layover pay. 4th of July weekend I got stuck in Coon Rapids without a load, they paid me two days layover, on a holiday weekend that's almost unheard of. They had me drop my two stops going to Fargo at the Mn. terminal, and I'm loading in Gaylord tomorrow morning with a 3 stopper in Tn. and Nc. to get me home for my hometime. They paid me a layover for today, so I went to the gym earlier, and I was thinking man I'm getting paid to work out. Sweet!
My DOT physical runs out in two weeks, so I figured I would take care of that today as well, I have a 1430 appt. at the local clinic near the terminal. Be safe!

 

Hello everyone. Just to let you guys know, I talked to Paul today and he said my background is good to go. I'm so happy about that. I'm scheduled for orientation August 17th. I have 2 more weeks of school left after tonight. School is going good and I can't wait to join you guys. God bless.

 

Dbass, I hope that I'll be in orientation around the same time as you. When did you talk with Paul, I tried calling him yesterday and left a voicemail.

 

I called him 4 times. He picked up the 4th time. It was about 5 eastern 4pm central

Im at the Pilot in Walcott Iowa next to Iowa80. I deliver in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Monday. Thought getting here and getting in a reset was a good idea. I met runningman1661 here. We walked around the Iowa 80 Jamboree while it was breaking up, saw some classic trucks, a few show trucks and then went and got something to eat. Gotta love being able to meet a friend for some dinner on the road...

I'm going to check with Paul on Monday and see if I can move orientation up a week to the 20th. I'm done dealing with 1000 miles this and sitting waiting 3 days for my backhaul.
