Got to see my girl this week!

She's a typical female also. She costs lots of money to keep around and I didn't get to ride her!

 

On the other hand... I'll be getting home a day early for the second time in a row....

I met a driver a couple weeks ago in NC from another midsized reefer company that was suppose to get home the week before.... His company was sending him to Michigan from NC... And he was from Texas....he said it's always a struggle to get home...
I'd rather schedule my Drs appts and such on my 3rd day home with the chance to be a day or two late... Than deal with that crap....

 

Hopefully the mailman isn't riding her when your gone!

Turn right out of sygma. Around corner turn at 1st right, follow road up to cement plant on left, park area on right. Room for two trucks, I park there every time. FYI, there is a pack of coyotes that go through there.

I understand that there are some companies that do much worse.
Maybe I'm just spoiled because the last place I drove for dead headed me from PA to NC for my home time just so I wouldn't miss it. Nothing special was planned and I even told them it wasn't a big deal I could just be late, they still sent me home because they dropped the ball.
My last thought on this is this:
We otr drivers spend a lot of time out here. Weeks, even months without going home. We do long hours, get jammed up at shippers and receivers, and deal with crap that's totally out of our control. That's just trucking. We all understand that and deal with it.
But messing with an otr driver's home time is a cardinal sin. We don't get much of it and every minute is precious.

And that's my last post on this topic because I'm not one to usually complain.
