Sweet. I just got my Load Offer going from Jamestown ND to Charlotte NC... Even better that I can see my wife for a night at home...
Got the service done on the truck. Peoplenet working again. Turned out to be a broken fuse. Not blown, but broken so as I drove it would connect and disconnect as I drove along....It's a pain waiting... But the Fargo shop is first class. They serviced the APU because it was only 100 hrs from it scheduled service. Replaced a cracked blinker lens ( the one I cracked backing at a shipper during the winter and they had the snow piled along an area you needed to swing the nose of the truck into a tight door.i pushed into the snow bank a little... Ya'll have some hard snow up there in Chicago!!) and replaced one of my airlines because it showed a little wear, topped off fluids, grease job, greased my 5th wheel...... All without me saying a word. I got in around 0830 and was running to Walmart to restock the truck by 1300...RoadCall, Woobie and runningman0661 Thank this. -
Finish orientation tomorrow, getting a brand new 2016. Then on the road again. Magnum is a straight foward company, They tell you straight up, also like the pay performance bonus system.
runningman0661 Thanks this. -
Good luck and keep in touchRickyDickyDo Thanks this. -
Y'all are killin' me. Paul is supposed to call me tomorrow and let me know something. I sure as heck hope I'm gonna be joining the Magnum team, if not I guess it'll be the pumpkin team....

found thread via google, sounds like a good place and that I'd be in hiring area.
read good parts of the thread but not all of it.
Do they hire new CDL holders without experience?
Got mine last month but current employer asked me to stick around a while longer so I did until I could train my replacement (company owner helped me pay for schooling)
anyway, to make a long story short, I'm not super comfortable with my downshifting especially after being out of a truck for a month, how's magnum with new non-experienced drivers? worried about failing road test. I'm no moron but I could use some help and I just don't have the cash to go drop on 4hrs or w/e for some 1 on 1 practice.
Thanks guys -
Rtruckin, yes they (thankfully) take us newbies! Here's there website, http://www.magnumlog.com/ good luck!
I just got off the phone with Paul and I'm tentatively scheduled for August 17th for orientation. He did say that if something happens he'd let me know and would see about getting me in there soonerLast edited: Jul 16, 2015

First load out, Grand Forks to Norman OK, then from Tulsa to Denver. Home to get finger prints done, grab rest of my gear then back out. Sfsg.
