Been thinking about this. He's giving you a shot at making the turn. We can't read minds ya know, so by the time he corrects you, it's almost too late. It's your job to be ready for the next turn and to read all the signs. He's probably losing his temper because he's still having to point them out. Nobody is going to be around to help you next week, which is probably worrying him. The shifting will get better over time, but it's his last chance to help on that too.

On the bright side, he's putting you in a truck, so you're doing ok!

The only thing the "idiot" trainer is doing wrong is putting his life on the line to help HOLO989 get a good job. I hope they make you one someday so you can sit over in that passenger seat and watch a rookie make rookie mistakes with not a #### thing you can do about it.

Yeah I got some great miles with loads that had zero wiggle room with my clock, and I haven't been getting much sleep. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and this should be my best month yet! Yeah and likewise, it was good meeting you. Glad it all worked out for yall!

from where i sit it sounds like the trainer is just making things harder than they should be, i would just tell the trainee to map his own route so he dont have to miss a turn but if that trainer is puttin on extra miles to avoid the toll then he probably aint gonna let him map his own route, so it sounds like they will do things the trainers way, which to me sounds like hes just making it harder. justs sounds like the type to make things harder an make himself feel smarter, its hard enough out here without someone making things more complicated than it should be. i was with a trainer once too, and i learned to just dumb myself down and get thru it. i may have misunderstood the post but if hes doing what was stated then im sticking with my opinion of him. and if hes pointing and not saying anything i would either get my own directions or ask him if he can speak or if that too much work for him

 

That was some of the first advice i got here. The place you're looking for is at exit 197 on 74. It's just a gas station with truck parking but it's brand new and easy to park. I rolled in around 9pm one night, half the spots still open. It's only 7 or 8 miles from Campbell's if I recall.
