I thought it was a bit of a wait for 24 hours for a background check but I guess not. No biggie as I'm just excited to hear back and get to work.

They even ask if your at least 1/2 full now when you pull in. It's gonna be heavy. But I've always been able to get legal and have room for fuel.
I just hate when they tell you that drop and hook you were counting on has turned into a live load....

This is as far as I got in this thread. Yep! November 2014....second paragraph of the original post.

I do NOT wanna remind anyone, at any time, that I wanna be home EVERY FREAKING WEEKEND.
Do not tell me to "put in for time off"....just get me home every weekend.
It can be done. It IS done. It WILL be done. Make it happen, or hire someone else.

Stupid companies need to figure out that we have lives. How about the guy that wants to stay out for weeks and months tell these companies in orientation "I have no home, I have no life, I have nobody that loves me, so run me, run me, run me".......and go ahead and assume that the rest of us have normal lives like everyone in the office that works 9 to 5.

Wow White Dog, I guess to each their own, one of the good things about trucking. Until major shippers agree to raise their rates, we will see a range of trucking companies some LTL and many more traditional truckload.

I kind of like Magnum and getting home every three weeks or so works for me and my family. You know that weekend at home every week to do a 34 doesn't fit all of us...

Yes....to each their own. And, I don't know what you have for "family"....but I bet if you have 'little ones', they'd like to see Dad more that once every three weeks.
And "weekends" are NOT a 34 hour restart....they are home Friday afternoon, and out Monday morning, like the rest of the working world's weekends (minus gone all week).

    for doctors and such
but my family is grown and wife wouldn't know what to do with me home too much

All full of fuel, I live south of the Budweiser plant about 15 miles. I always try to be at least 3/4 of fuel when going to get loaded anywhere. When you leave that plant you better be under, port south about 5 miles and the Wyo port on 25 is always fun. Could shoot down to hwy 14 east to hwy 85 north.

Ummmm....I don't ever remember saying I was looking?

P.S.- Your company is advertising like crazy on Craigslist (yes, I DO know who you drive for)...I guess if I wanted to work hard enough to get 4,500 miles every 8 days, I would give them a call. I'm too lazy for that these days. 2,500ish in 5 days is good enough for me. I like my home time, and, though I don't know why, my family and friends are happy to see me every weekend.
