Johnsons corner is the closest truck stop. When you get off I-25 at Crossroads Blvd, stay to right, it's a funny round about.

\Got an AWESOME load from Quincy, WA to Fogelsburg, PA. Made good miles yesterday and set to make a record today... and then my dash-lights aren't working as it's getting dark. Took out the fuse (B3 below the dash)? Which I THINK is the fuse for those, looked fine. Tried killing and restarting, no luck. Gotta get this fixed tomorrow or my delivery time is gonna be an unholy bastich to make. Not running at full dark when I can't see the speedo or or anything else.

HOPEFULLY, I call the shop after hours in the AM, get someone sober, and find out the fuse is under the hood, replace it and done.

First time I called after-hours dispatch, I reached (someone who will remain un-named) who was skunk-drunk and basically told me to do something stupid, (Which I ignored).

Now, it's just a funny story. At the time, not so much.

ANYWAY... I got an AWESOME load!! (For those who think I never say anything good:p ) Truck stuff? It's a PACCAR. If it doesn't have a code every 20 minutes, it just isn't happy. -But this is weird.

Dash-lights stop working if you sit too long with the key turned and fog lights on. Turning the key on and off a few times should fix it.

Did you have fun in Maxton? Is the little BP pit stop staying busy?

I had ZERO time stopped with the lights on. I don't idle. But sure as Hell, after a couple of hours with the engine hut down, the bastiches work. WTF? I sat there for 40 minutes trying to get them to go on and nothing.

I wasn't there but an hour… Try to avoid it at all costs. Ride in deliver ride out…One of our drivers with a trainee was robbed at that truck stop.

If I do not let the truck go through its pre-start ritual my dash lights don't work. I wait till all the lights on the dash turned off before I start. You know… Click click click click click click click clunk pssst....then start.

Those Lumbee Indian girls are slick; they can get inside your locked truck, go through your stuff and steal your money while you're sleeping in the sleeper. Some of them have brothers and cousins in the Maxton police department. I've seen a police car pull into the truck stop and drop the girls off.
