For the most part you are pre planned on your next load the day before you get empty, heck sometimes you know what your doing for the whole week.

Loaded in Pa. and delivered in Chicago this morning. Reloaded 18 miles away in Bedford heights for a drop and hook in Appleton, Wi. I reload at the same place in the a.m. For a delivery tomorrow in Mn.. Then Monday I reload in Gaylord, Mn. going to Coppell, Texas.

Any of you have had their collision midagation system almost throw you thru the windshield? Was on cruise control, a s10 pick up cuts across in front of me about 50 feet. The system shut the truck down like right now. Not good if I have had a 4 wheeler or big truck close behind.

Mine isn't that sensitive in this truck, but with another company I had a different system in a freightliner, it was super sensitive, and would lock the brakes up at highway speed. There was nothing safe about that POS.
Woobie Thanks this. -
I had a Eaton system at another company slammed on the brakes. I started to refuse loads like paper rolls and copper because I was afraid it would come thru the nose of the trailer. I like the wingman system seems to work good

While at Shaffer, their trucks used the Meritor Wabco On-Guard system. That system is so noisy and constant and aggravating as all get out, that you'd look forward to being thrown through the windshield. It sucked so bad, it would react to things that weren't there, and was sometimes so slow that it would react AFTER a potential threat had already passed. The system in these Petes is fantastic by comparison...still don't like the idea of a computer second guessing me though.
SISYPHUS and runningman0661 Thank this.
