They have an add around the Binghamton area looking for power only do routes. No touch, helper rides with you and does all the work. They really must be desperate for drivers since Dicks sporting goods just opened a DC 100yd away. Bunch of drivers left.

Listed the rate as negotiable and within a 200mi radius. If you could get 1800-2000 a day it would be worth it. Looking for 10+ trucks, that's a name your price situation plus having a random dude in your truck.

Honestly if Maine's and willow run paid a competitive wage compared to the other food companies they wouldn't have this issue. The only 2 big companies in the Binghamton area so they can play it to their advantage. 1100-1200 GROSS hmmm maybe that's your problem Maine's. If it wasn't for uncle Sam you wouldn't even be in business today.

Buuuuuuut.........that would be the company or helper's problem? i mean from a business standpoint? From a compassionate standpoint, yeah i would let him/her stay in the cab.

    Side note:
When i did food service, one of my helpers DID stay in the trailer when he worked for a moving company. Those moving blankets came in REAL handy says he............

I would never let the helper stay in the wagon. My rules would be don't be a slob and make a mess. As long they weren't a pig I'd have no problem with them in the jump seat. If I didnt like the guy id tell them don't ever send him with me with him again. Tues I have to talk to them but it doesn't sound like 1750 a day is out of the question. We do 1500 a day. Well 1500 on 320 miles one way but we come back empty so its 1500 for the round. Not finding much coming back from Boston so its not worth the extra time spend trying to get a load back when we can DH back for another 1500$ run
