The last I got was in Alabama. They submitted it to the state. Too bad my license is from Illinois.

The OP is in regards to Texas making changes.

In Florida the ME has always submitted a copy to the state and we’re required to upload a copy also. Takes 2 minutes and then get a confirmation back from the state within a day or so of it being accepted.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Maybe that’s new to Texas but not in California, we had this start years ago. Do doctors still #### it up? Yup. Do companies still have us go into the DMV and submit it and get a receipt? Yup!

viper822004, drvrtech77 and Rugerfan Thank this.

I emailed mine into TX DPS too last year and got a confirmation response. A few months later I got a letter in the mail saying my CDL had been downgraded due to my med card expiring. I spent half a day at their office getting it cleared up.

I literally watch my my guy logging in and entering it. However, I still go straight to the DMV office to make sure everything is good. Afterall, I’m the only one whom I can count on to take care of me.

The drivers license office is across the street from where I get my physical done. And being a small town there is rarely any kind of line there. I show them my card they enter it and give me a receipt. Couple days later, I get a letter from Little Rock confirming this. Kind of of scary thinking that all of the examiners will get this done properly.
Oh well, I may be on my last physical anyway. Getting tired.

I do mine in a similar manner,,take form from doctor to the DOT where they enter the info while im standing there at counter….this method is a option but been so many screwups where DOT loses medical forms or whatever that this is common practice…
