Megas often have drivers in their seats with little to no experience.
I think a lot has to do with the way trucks have evolved. Basically, rolling studio apts and it gives the newer driver a false sense of security as to what they are actually driving. Years ago, a truck was a truck, and you knew it.
a truck is a truck.. they aren't so rigid any more..

there's a little more to it then Rollin down the road sitting a H beam these days

Not exactly sure that's what he was talking about. A lot of trucks these days ride more like Cadillacs than trucks, isolating the driver from what is going on outside of the truck. The suspension and steering keeps you from feeling the road beneath you. The sound deadening insulation keeps the outside noises outside where you can't hear them, and a good stereo even on a low setting is enough to completely drown out the loudest of noises outside. The driver's seat is more like a Lazy-boy than a truck seat. You've got a cell phone and GPS, so nobody runs with their CB on anymore to communicate with other drivers. When you climb into the truck and close the door, you're in your own little cocoon.

Trucks ought to ride like trucks. You ought to be able to feel what the road is doing, feel what sort of traction is available, hear things going on around you, and keep the CB on to communicate with others on the road around you. The driver's seat can be comfortable, but when you're sitting in it there should be no confusion as to where you are or what you are supposed to be doing.

Apparently you missed the point. Just because it rides like a truck doesn't mean it is necessarily exhaustive to drive it. Trucks these days isolate the driver too much from the world around them to the point where it adversely affects safety.
