None of these places advertise showing discounts anywhere near that.

My rate is $1.65 + the FSC = $2.48 all miles as im paid the same for empty and loaded..Also ur right insurance is about $65 a week as i only pay $247 a month for Truck and $27 a month for Bobtail
i pull refer for power only.

 

Everyone gets different fuel discounts based on how much ur company spends.. Swift would get better discounts then us as they have more trucks and buying more fuel. I can tell you don't understand how fuel discounts work on a major fuel card.

 

same state same time different parts and different discounts...

 

I have no idea what the company’s contract is or how many gallons we have to buy at PFJ to maintain our pricing. Back in April they turned the cards off for everywhere except PFJ and Kwik Trip. So I’m assuming we have to buy a lot from PFJ.

 

I use RTS. The price changes almost hourly it seems and sometimes it’s just 2 cents cheaper than an off brand. Currently it’s $4.29 at QT next door.

 

The roughly 1,000 truck carrier I am leased to provides its owner ops with the Comdata card. The plan we have gets us the best discount at Loves, but there are several other fueling choices. The discount varies by the number of gallons purchased company wide daily and store location. It varies from 50 cents to roughly 1 dollar a gallon off pump price. I park near a Quick Fuel that is also an authorized fuel stop and I choose to fuel there for the convenience factor and also no waiting in line to fuel. The downside is that I generally only get 40 cents a gallon discount. With a cheaper pump price and less hassle I find the 20-40 cents higher overall cost worth it to me.

I just never saw $1.30 fuel discounts before.
I also don't recall $6 pump prices until this year.

Being with a big company doesn't automatically mean they pass the full discount onto you either. I personally experienced that in the past.

 

$2.48 all miles and no trailer responsibility is a good deal.
You're doing better than many right now.

Don't equate your numbers with others as an example though because right now many are struggling.
