Note that this wasn’t a route bus, it was a charter bus. I was a charter bus driver for twenty years, and it’s a different clientele than the grey dog (you couldn’t pay me enough to drive that!). I’ve had to deal with the occasional belligerent drunk, and the occasional puking drunk, but I never got assaulted! Scary stuff!

No, you just had to deal with little old ladys that get pissed because you got to the casino 5 minutes later than scheduled due to traffic.

No thanks, I could never haul people. I'd end up in jail. :)

I'm surprised he didn't get a separate charge for everyone on the bus...

Private charter companies wont go the way of Greyhound. Last Greyhound I rode, it had a plexiglass door that seperated the driver. Apparrently Greyhound has had similar issues.

I’ve been on a couple Greyhounds where they have the plexiglass doors. Next thing you know they’ll start have feds ride the buses.

Yup he never spent a day in jail other than pre court .. The hospitals say if he’s on his meds he’s harmless and now he’s in halfway houses ..

I had thought of attempted vehicular manslaughter times the people on the bus, on the semi and so on.

I had ridden my last greyhound back in the 90's I also would think twice before flying commercial, I would spend money for a light jet and be on the coast in 4 hours with it ready to collect me to return home at call. (About 3000 dollars round trip) and it would be useful when if time is of essence. None of the big airports like KBWI needed. One is a few miles from me and the other end is less than that from my home grounds.

My personal vehicle is capable of being a sleeper in the rear having been converted to cargo space or sleeper space if need be. So that would be what I fall back on as a private driving anywhere. The gas bill would be steep but still cheap against commercial.
