what company do you work for?

I'm at Saia.. At my barn we have a lot of short run LH bids (360-420 miles) because we are so close to the regional hub. I got a 420 mile bid with 3 to 4 paid drop&hooks and I've only been here for 9 months. The guy above me has a 550ish mile run with 3 paid drop&hooks, and I can't wait to move up a spot.. But every barn is different.

UPS frt in new England. barn has an extra board ,which has less dock work, then the other dedicated runs....the only other option is l/h fill in but that has been spoken for since I have been here, going on 3 years. Smartest thing I ever did was leave YRC.

Cool. I tried to get a job at UPS freight but the TM at the barn near me said I'm automatically disqualified because I had "bad attendance" at UPS parcel as a part-timer 12 years ago. Well, he wasn't lying, I was young and lazy way back then... But the wages/pension at UPSF are definetly the best of the best in the LTL business..

I have 2 neighbors who work for Holland who have the same sentiment for the "big yella anchor". I tell them if "yella" spun off saia waay back when, maybe they could do the same for holland..
