Listen kiddo you'll do just fine.If you have a weakness in something ask if you can practice one on one with an instructor. You'll be going out with a trainer once the school is done won't you?If so just focus on getting your CDL.If you have trouble backing shifting or your pretrip ask for help.Once school is done for the day keep on studying.Thats what I did in school.I stayed at the dorm and at night I would practice my pretrip on one of their trks.Practiced my shifting on their simulator and watched videos on backing. You can do this.

Hang in there. Most people fail tests simply because they psych themselves out and not because they don't grasp the subject matter or possess the necessary skills.
Think your nerves are shot now, wait until winter.:biggrin_2551:
You are so right, semi retired. The only time I've been white knuckled OTR was while driving in ice and snow. Three times my trailer tried to reach the consignee before I did and even though I was going 15 mph it was scary.
I hope this winter will be more forgiving.

Yep, takes a long time to get somewhere at 30 mph, but I suppose it is still better than 0. I would still roll in snow, ice was questionable, but that darn freezing rain, that's were I stop until the salt shakers went by. Once, I had to be somewhere by 9pm, and if I didn't make it, I had to wait until morning, started getting slick, I was empty on a 2 lane, so I drove down the gravel part of the shoulder, and made it with 15 minutes to spare. Now that night my nerves were shot.:biggrin_25526:

Of course some of us still have problems with tying shoes. That's why they make loafers, and shoes with Velcro closures, and sandals. . .:biggrin_25523:
This is a good thing. Losing a fiance to trucking is far preferable than losing a husband/wife. Obviously you were not with the "RIGHT" person.
Geeze, Nirvana, if you have been in the military, and particularly if you have been deployed, I find it difficult to believe that you are stressing over a bit of testing for driving a truck. Nobody is gonna be shooting at your arse during these tests.
We really do want to know how you are doing here, so whatever happens, keep us posted, OK?:yes2557:
